At the end of 2019, Het Parool asked Fow Pyng to write some columns for their food section. With his Chinese roots and family in Japan, he had more than enough recipes up his sleeve — dishes he’d gladly serve to anybody.
But beside the dishes, there was more to tell. As a Filmmaker and owner of three noodle restaurants in Amsterdam, his food was surrounded with anecdotes. The dishes mark moments in his life.

This book is a collection of forty fine columns against the backdrop of the pandemic. About culture, cinema, identity, and business, but especially about cooking and eating.
